Minecraft Bedrock Version Coming to PS4 on December 10

Publisher Microsoft and developer Mojang have announced the “Bedrock” version of Minecraft is finally coming to PS4 this week.

The unified version of the sandbox game is launching for PS4 on December 10th, bringing with it the same experience users have had on Windows PC, Xbox One, Switch, and mobile. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the PS4 release.

Minecraft‘s Bedrock version also brings with it access to the Minecraft Marketplace, where players can buy worlds, mini-games, skins, and mash-up packs.

If you already own Minecraft for PlayStation 4, you’ll get the Bedrock update for free on December 10th. A new retail copy of the game will also be released, which includes the Bedrock update.

Minecraft has been available for Windows PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, 3DS, PS Vita, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and both iOS and Android.
