Though it met with a mixed reception, Aksys Game’s Mind Zero developed a sizable cult following amongst those of us who still consider the Vita a worthwhile handheld. Perhaps due to that popularity, Aksys has thrown the game onto Steam Greenlight in the hope that it’ll pick up an audience on the PC as well. Considering that Ghostlight is putting the next Elminage RPG on steam, this seems like a good time to be a Wizardry fan with a Steam account.
There are already several pages of enthusiastic comments on the greenlight page, which is surprising when you realize it was only posted eight hours ago and is a game that is about as niche as you can get. Though I suppose in this post-Recettear, post-Falcom PC gaming scene it’s not entirely out of the ordinary to see a JRPG make it to Valve’s digital marketplace.
[UPDATE: Mind Zero was greenlit just three days after it went up. Congrats to Aksys Games.]
