MIke Bithell, the creator of Thomas Was Alone, has been working on a new video game that has been best described as the futuristic interpretation of Robin Hood. Mike’s newest game is Volume, coming August 18th for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Steam.
Volume seeks to maintain that essence with a focus on challenging stealth. Players play as Locksley, a swift and clever rogue infiltrating incredibly secure levels.
Players will not be armed wih any weapons as it has been decreed that Robin Wood doesn’t kill. You will have to avoid patrols, distract turrets, and swiftly move across the levels to secure the riches for the poor. An arsenal of gadgets and wits is all that separate players from victory and defeat.
The game will feature over 100 core levels, with hundreds more being added by user-generated content. This allows for users to manipulate and play with ideas for the core levels as well.
