The launch of Keiji InaFune’s Mighty No. 9 is marred with controversy and criticism, much like its development.

Users are reporting several issues related to the game. Owners of the Humble Bundle version are getting duplicate codes for the Retro Hero skin instead of the Ray DLC.

The Steam version is getting reports of graphical issues and disappearing saves. Wii U owners are facing slow loading times and graphic lag spikes. There’s even users on Twitter warning how the Wii U version is bricking their consoles.

The game’s development woes have even caused three versions of the game: Xbox 360, Mac, and Linux, to miss the global launch date, which is today.

Our review for Mighty No. 9 is currently in progress – stay tuned!

Editor’s Note: The article originally stated that Keiji Inafune said the current state of Mighty No. 9 is “better than nothing,” this is false as it was wholly the opinion of his translator.
