Mighty No. 9 is Cross-Buy on Playstation, Retail and Signature Editions Revealed

Comcept and publisher Deep Silver have revealed a new batch of gameplay for Mighty No. 9, their upcoming Mega Man spiritual successor coming to PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, 3DS, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Featured above, you can view the new “Beat Them at Their Own Game” trailer, which showcases the various bosses in game. Alongside the new gameplay is the announcement that Mighty No. 9 is cross-buy on PS3, PS4, and PS Vita – meaning that if you buy it on one platform, you get it free on the other two.

The retail and “Signature Edition” for the game were also revealed:

The Playstation 4 retail edition gets you the “Ray” downloadable content, which gets you access to the Abandoned Lab stage, a new boss battle against the new baddie Ray, and the ability to play through the entire game as Ray herself. There’s also a bonus double-sided poster and the “The Art of Mighty No. 9” art booklet, which shows off the various artwork from the game.

The extremely-limited Mighty No. 9: Signature Edition comes with all the goodies from the launch edition on Playstation 4, as well as an individually numbered 6.5” figurine of Beck complete with 14 points of articulation and three interchangeable faceplates.

The signature edition also comes with a metallic foil signature from legendary creator Keiji Inafune across the front, and it will cost $59.99.

Finally, the pre-order bonus “Retro Hero” downloadable content was revealed:

This will give you the ability to play as a super-blocky version of Beck, complete with 8-bit sounding effects, and straight access to the insane “insta-death” mode, where you die instantly from a single hit from an enemy. For the fans looking to unlock the insta-death mode legitimately, you can also get it by completing a specific task in-game, however details for that will come later.

Mighty No. 9 is launching across PC, Mac, Linux, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on September 15th in North America and September 18th in Europe, followed by the Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita versions “at a later date.”
