We’ve learned that a sequel to Monolith Productions’ Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has been leaked.

The news comes from a retailer listing for the game over on Target (thanks Nick Chevalier), which has the above box-art for the sequel. Warner Bros. and Monolith Productions logos are present, leading us to believe the original developer has returned to make the sequel.

The original Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an open-world, third-person action RPG set between the gap of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and his follow-up masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings.

Shadow of Mordor was highly acclaimed, distributed across practically every major platform, and quite successful in sales, so it makes sense a sequel for the game is happening. The listing on Target has the game launching August 22nd, which could be a placeholder.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One listings for the game are currently present. It’s also worth mentioning a $100 gold edition of the game is also listed on Target, including the following goodies:
