Microsoft has announced a new controller for their Xbox platform designed entirely for better accessibility to gamers who have physical issues with traditional game controllers.

Dubbed the Xbox Adaptive Controller (featured above), the new controller drops the 19 button scheme the regular Xbox One controller has for a completely customizable design that lets players fine-tune a setup to their physical needs.

Whether you have carpal tunnel and can’t really stand the gamer claw you get from traditional controllers or you’re missing limbs, fingers, etc., the number of ports and supported physical interfacing peripherals really covers a huge number of physical disabilities.

A release for the Xbox Adaptive Controller is set for sometime later this year.
