Microids is making two Agatha Christie games

French publisher and developer Microids is making two Agatha Christie games, news confirmed by both parties this week in a new contract.

The news that Microids is making two Agatha Christie games means they now have access to the legendary British murder/mystery writer’s massive library of works.

Christie wrote over 60 original novels and over a dozen short story collections, and her novels have sold over 2 billion copies worldwide. A lot of her works focused on the fictional detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.

Microids teases the new games will “take players into the detective Hercule Poirot’s universe through a revisited classic and a brand new adventure.”

Both games will be developed by two separate development studios, one of which is the newly established Microids Studio Lyon, also based in France.

It’s worth mentioning Microids previously worked on two games based on Christie’s work, the 2016-released Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders and the 2021-released Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases.

Other recent licensed games Microids are working on include not one but three Garfield games, a new UFO Robot Grendizergame based on Go Nagai’s classic and iconic mecha series, and The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf, which is based on the classic series of the same name.
