It’s been over a year since we’re heard anything from Edmund McMillen’s latest outing, Mew-Genics. There’s an unfortunate reason behind this – as the developer has put the game on hold.
At the same time, McMillen has announced a brand new game in the form of The Legend of Bum-bo, a spin-off based on their iconic twin-stick shooter, The Binding of Isaac.
The game focuses on the titular Bum-bo, a character that grows bigger via eating coins. The game is described as a “turn based puzzle RPG type thingy thats randomly generated,” and that it cold be considered a prequel to The Binding of Isaac.
Development platforms were not announced.
