Publisher Deep Silver and developer 4A Games have announced Metro Exodus has gone gold.
This means the game’s development and code is finalized and ready for distribution. To celebrate the occasion, the developer shared the game’s title sequence, which was produced by Santa Monica studio Elastic.
The game’s release date was also pushed forward from its February 22nd, 2019 release date, to one on February 15th.
“Our fans have been waiting patiently for Metro Exodus ever since we announced the title at E3 2017,” said Deep Silver CEO Klemens Kundratitz in a press release. “We had previously delayed the release date to ensure 4A Games had the time to deliver their ambitious vision for the game, but now we’re delighted to confirm that Metro Exodus has ‘gone gold’ and we are able to bring the release date forward to February 15, 2019.”
