Meridian: New World is a bit of an amazing game and concept, developed in collaboration between Headup Games, Merge Games, and Elder Games, the latter of which being the actual development studio behind the game.

Meridian: New World is finally coming to Steam via Early Access next month, on April 4th, and to celebrate the developers revealed the brand new trailer, which you can see above. Oh and by the way, we forgot to mention that Elder Games is made up of only one staff member, Ede Tarsoly.

Meridian: New World is a unique mash up of real time strategy and role playing elements, crafting a totally new experience that not only seems to have the depth that most fans of both genres crave, but the excellent production values that a larger studio would normally be putting out.

In the game you fill the shoes of Daniel Hanson, the commander in charge of the first expedition to the remote planet called Meridian. The planet was previously declared as habitable for humans, but devoid of a native population that would pose a threat to the incoming battalion of humans.
