Meridian: New World is somewhat of an interesting strategy hybrid that is currently available on Steam Early Access. We previously wrote about the game here, but I decided to give you guys a refresher due to the game’s upcoming passing from an unreleased build to a (hopefully) finalized form.
While Meridian features a traditional real time strategy experience with your base building, teching of units and so on – you’ll be able to pursue special abilities and equipment options for each of your individual units.
You can choose an entirely unique fighting style in Meridian, whether it be a robust economy to boot, or highly customized and adept units that can turn the tide of battle with special abilities. Or, you know, you can just keep churning out vanilla units every time and fight a war of attrition.
The gameplay experience within Meridian: New World is the brainchild of Ede Tarsoly – the one man team behind Elder Games. While he’s still at the core of the creative production, he brought on friendsBalázs Bodnár, Tamás Gyermán and Gábor Menyhárt, all of which are helping the ongoing development of Meridian: New World.
Meridian: New World is currently $14.99 dollars on Steam via Early Access. The game will finally exit Early Access on September 26th, or this coming Friday.
