Mercenaries Lament: Requiem of the Silver Wolf

A tale of a mercenary and a priestess facing their mortal destiny.

Several years have passed since a mysterious plague spread across the continent in the blink of an eye. The victims of the plague became moving corpses – zombies – and attacked the people. Mercenaries, who make their living fighting the plague, spent their days doing the dirty work of exterminating the zombies.

One day, Johan, the captain of the Silver Wolf Mercenaries, encounters a man who claims to be the God of Death. Johan narrowly escapes the Reaper’s deadly blade, but as he leaves, the Reaper leaves behind an eerie prophecy:

“In 100 days, when the evil omens are at their highest, you will die an inescapable death. The Grim Reaper leaves behind an eerie prophecy: In 100 days, the omens will be at their highest.”

After Johan drives the Grim Reaper away, a young priestess appears before him. The priestess is said to be using miraculous arts to heal those who have fallen victim to the plague. Was the Grim Reaper just a nightmare that Johan, who had fallen victim to the plague, was seeing ……?

Johan sees a silver lining in his encounter with the priestess. Together with his friends, he becomes the priestess’s escort and travels around the kingdom with her.
In a kingdom infested with pestilence, Johan must confront his mortality…
