Project Lumina has shared a new Melty Blood: Type Lumina gameplay trailer, focusing on Akiha Tohno.
Brought up under strict guidance of the Tohno family, Akiha was not even allowed to outside with others. She disliked her brother Shiki’s strange behavior, which led her to hating her adoptive brother Shiki Nanaya on name alone. While this new brother helped her experience a childhood with play, a near fatal accident saw him under hospital care and living with another family.
However, the Tohno family also has demonic blood in their veins. This led to her father doing despicable things to keep control of himself, later killed by his biological son- and Akiha becoming the head of the family. Also possesing half-demonic blood, Akiha can steal the life-force of those she can see.
In Type Lumina, her reserved and graceful attitude strangely compliments her aggressive and pressuring fighting style; wearing down foes before her powerful ranged specials finish them off.

She is strict even on herself, rejecting such things as modern-day amusements and frivolity. Because of her prideful and strong-willed nature, many find her difficult to approach. Sensing a mysterious presence in her town, and determined to uphold the Tohno family name, she sets off into the night to investigate…”
