Mega Man Zero 2, originally for the Game Boy Advance, has shown up on the Wii U Virtual Console in North America. The second game in the brutal Mega Man Zero series, Zero 2 is a classic that side-scrolling lovers shouldn’t pass up.

The Mega Man Zero series follows the Mega Man X story line, but occurs a long time (roughly a century) after the original X series. With Zero being the focus, rather than the X-Buster, the gameplay is focused on the Z-Saber blade, switching the combat to mostly melee range. Of course, Zero’s saber can use elemental specials acquired from the game’s bosses.

Mega Man Zero 2 will run $7.99 on the Virtual Console, and is available now.
