Capcom has announced their intent to put Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team of Blues (ProtoMan in the West) and Team of Colonel on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console.

The games are still as they were back when they first released on the GBA back in 2004, with one notable exception. Since the Comm function can’t really work the way it was intended, using said function will result in the player receiving one of the battle chips you could have received from linking to another game.

Both versions will be available on the eShop in Japan on September 9th at the cost of 702 yen, which is roughly $5.85.
