We’ve learned about yet another new character from Tales of Zestiria, this time via the latest issue of Jump magazine.

The new character goes by the name Dezel, and he is voiced by Daisuke Ono. His design is crafted by Daigo Okumura, and he stands 185cm tall. Dezel’s weapon of choice is a pendulum, and he also is a wind elemental member of the Family of Heaven. He lives a mysterious life as he hunts in the shadows for a Hyouma that killed someone dear to him.

When in battle, Dezel moves in a very cool and collected form, distancing himself from his enemies with the Pendulum weapon. As he is a member of the Family of Heaven, he can also perform Heaven Echo Artes.

A quote for Dezel is shown in the scan:

“I’ll only say this: you would do best to stay out of my way. I really don’t care if you’re a doshi, I won’t allow your interference.”

Finally, three new battle elements were revealed in the magazine. First up, there’s the Around Step, which lets you side-step around your enemies. Next we have the Blast Gauge, which lets you recover health and blast your enemies away for a bit. Lastly, there’s something called the Spirits Chain, which lets you combine different attacks while draining your gauge.

Tales of Zestiria is currently in development for Playstation 3.
