Rising Star Games has announced the release date for Assault Suit Leynos.

The HD-remake of Dracue Software’s classic 16-bit action game will launch on July 12th, and it will cost $19.99. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the mecha and explosion-laden game.

The remake contains new visuals and some new gameplay features, redone enemy AI, a remixed Arcade Mode with elongated levels, re-voiced cutscenes, and a Classic Mode that brings a more 90’s-era feel with visuals, music, and gameplay.

A retail version of the game on PlayStation 4 is planned, however it doesn’t have a release date. It will, however, come with a deluxe double-sided poster emblazoned with artwork from both the Japanese release and its 16-bit classic original.
