McDonald’s Japan has teased an upcoming collaboration with hololive.
The image features a silhouette of a Usada Pekora, one of the iconic talents of hololive. The caption in the tweet reads: “I want to eat Tsukimi Burger~”.

“Tsukimi burger” likely refers to Tsukimi, a Japanese lunar festival celebrating the full moon which follows the Japanese calendar. This causes the festival to jump around on the globally adopted Gregorian Calendar.
This year, Tsukimi begins on September 17, so we can hopefully expect more news by then.
McDonald’s Japan has been growing in popularity on social media due to its wholesome animations celebrating family and friendship, as well as more obscure references like a recent parody of “Marisa Stole the Precious Thing“, a Touhou fan song.
Meanwhile hololive has been growing steadily over the years as the premier VTuber agency internationally.
