Maximum Games and Iron Galaxy Studios Reveal Extinction for PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Maximum Games and Iron Galaxy Studios have announced Extinction.

The new “fast-paced action game” will launch sometime early next year across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

In the game, you play as Avil, one of the world’s last Sentinels tasked with protecting humanity from encroaching  threats like massive ogres, demons, and more. Featured above, you can view the game’s announcement trailer.

Here’s a rundown on the game, via Maximum Games:

As far back as anyone can remember, humanity has been at war with itself. For generations, kingdoms have fought amongst themselves while the real threat loomed in the distance. Only those trained in the ways of the ancient order stand a chance at defeating the 150-foot-tall ogres and the armies that trail in their wake. You are one of the world’s last Sentinels, a soldier named Avil, equipped with the skills to battle the endless waves of Ravenii.

In Extinction, you’ll fight massive ogres and their minions across a sprawling countryside, defending cities and rescuing native villagers torn from their homes. Swiftly define your strategy as hordes attack from the ground and air. Use the dynamic skill-based combat system to tactically disarm and dismember enemies before going in for the kill.

Key Features

I bet ChocoIsis’ brain only registered this part of the sentence and had a fap frenzy as a result.

Yeah man! Remember Eren doing parkour like Enzo in that one EP? Or those gargoyle like creatures they fighted in that another EP? Or they fighting giant ogres? Man, this is such a rip off xD

For anyone who didn’t notice, this was sarcasm.

The fact that everything with giant creatures showed lately is called Attack on Titan is both ridiculous and disgusting.

I wouldn’t necessarily call it a rip-off myself, but there are distinct similarities. The first reveal of the giant ogre had a very AoT feel, and the fact they can instantly heal any injury except for a neck wound, well…if nothing else, I’d say that this game has definitely taken inspiration from Attack on Titan.

There’s no emo protagonist in this one.
