Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 Now Backwards Compatible on Xbox One

Microsoft has added even more titles to their ongoing list of Xbox 360 games backwards compatible on Xbox One.

Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 are both now backwards compatible on Xbox One. You can find the updated list of Microsoft’s growing list of backwards compatible Xbox 360 games here.

While there is no option to purchase the game’s digitally (as they were originally multi-disc games), you can stick your original game discs in to play them.

Can’t wait for the new color ending they add in Andromeda. We all know it won’t be white.

Two old games no one wants to play anymore because of that ending now run on a system that nobody owns. You must still have the discs from 2010-2012, though, which you probably snapped in half ages ago. And they didn’t bother porting the first game in the trilogy because fuck your story continuity.

    Time and effort well spent?

I guess that’s nice but I’m not clear why mass effect games aren’t digital because they’re multi-disc while the witcher 2 is multi-disc and available digitally, even given as a game with gold.

Does Witcher 2 ever have you put a earlier disc in? I remember ME2 doing a strange thing around the 70% point where you had to go back to the first disc.

Good question I honestly don’t recall, Also i believe battlefield 3 is available digitally but has 2 disc. Also L.A. Noire is 3 disc but available digitally.

You think it has something to do with file structure? Did mass effect 3 do that weird disc swap crap at the beginning and end?

I’ve played games like Skyward Sword, found it mediocre at best.

I have ZERO fate in this game right now. DA2, ME3 and DA:I (yeah for me it was boring as fuck) was a giant let down + with the twits from some of team this year I fully expect some gender and sexuality BS to make it’s way in.

It was one of the 1st games that became backward compatible I believe aka you can play the entire trilogy on XB1 now.
