Last month, Masaya Games (known primarily for the Langrisser series) teased a new console game.

Now, we’ve gotten word of the actual reveal for their new game, via their official website. Coming in the February 5th edition of Weekly Famitsu, we’ll hopefully be learning of a new RPG from the storied developer.

Masaya were mostly active back in the 80s and 90s with the various releases, sequels, and remakes of the games in the Langrisser series. They’re also known for the Assault Suits Valken and Cho Aniki series, amongst other games through the years.

Could we be seeing a brand new Langrisser game, now that recent strategy RPGs like Fire Emblem: Awakening have proven gamers are hungry for more tactical JRPGs? Despite the Langrisser series never becoming a household name like Final Fantasy or maybe even the aforementioned Fire Emblem, you can’t deny their pedigree.
