Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Update Adds 60fps with Ray-Tracing Mode

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

An update to Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales has introduced a new graphical mode that supports 60fps with ray-tracing.

While the next generation of consoles has arrived, a lot of games are able to run the game at 60 frames per second with other graphical features- such as 4K resolution. Initially launching with two graphical modes (one where the game ran at 60fps, and another supporting ray-tracing) the game quietly updated to support both at the same time.

Polygon reports the “Performance RT” mode is done by altering the scene resolution, reflection quality, and pedestrian density. There is also no news on if the game can support 60fps and 4K resolution.

In other news, PlayStation have announced the game was November 2020’s most downloaded game in the US and Canada on PlayStation 5. In Europe, this was only beaten by Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The game was the third and fourth most downloaded PlayStation 4 game in US/Canada and European territories respectively.
