Marvel’s Avengers Next War Table Premieres July 29; Betas Begin August 7, 14, and 21

Marvel’s Avengers

Square Enix have announced (via IGN) the date of their next Marvel’s Avengers War Table presentation, and the game’s betas.

As seen in the above image, the game will have three betas. First beta will take place on August 7th for those who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 4, then August 14th for those who pre-ordered on PC and Xbox One. August 14th is also when the PlayStation open beta begins. The final beta will be on August 21st, an open beta on all platforms.

Next, the second War Table presentation will happen July 29th at 10 a.m. PT. This will be focused on what players will experience in the beta. Creative Director Shaun Escayg explained to IGN this will include (in IGN’s words) “campaign content, co-op missions, hero progression, and exploration in War Zone and Drop Zones.”

The details on the Drop Zone missions will be explained during the War Table as well. Escayg further explained how the beta will give taste of everything the game has to offer.

“We built the beta in such a way that you can experience most of things that you’ll be doing in the full game That means playing a piece of the original single-player Avengers story campaign, fighting through co-op missions, experiencing hero and world progression, and exploring War Zones and DROP ZONES, a new kind of mission we’ll talk about in the upcoming War Table on July 29. This beta is meaty, but it’s only a small part of the finished game.”

In case you missed the prior War Table, developer Crystal Dynamics revealed villains AIM and M.O.D.O.K., more about the game’s story, co-op War Zones, and more. You can find our full coverage here.

Marvel’s Avengers is launches September 4th for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia; and Holiday 2020 for PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
