Marvelous USA and XSEED Games will publish as separate brands under Marvelous

Marvelous USA and XSEED Games have announced new changes to their organizational structure that will see each branch of Marvelous publishing different titles with a new focus.

Under the new organizational structure, XSEED Games will start only publishing third-party games and indies while Marvelous USA will begin handling all internally-developed Marvelous titles moving forward.

XSEED Games will handling publishing for Corpse Party II, Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana, Potionomics: Masterwork Edition, and The Big Catch; Marvelous USA will now handle their flagship Story of Seasons and Rune Factory franchises and internal titles like Farmagia and DAEMON X MACHINA: Titanic Scion.

Marvelous said the new organizational and publishing changes reflect a “holistic” view as it grows its western expansion, presenting Marvelous-owned IPs through a “singular global brand.” This makes sense considering Marvelous titles in Europe have been published under Marvelous Europe for awhile now, it was only a matter of time when the North American releases would fall under Marvelous USA. This will also give XSEED Games more freedom to discover and publish third-party titles under their publishing arm.

The new change up in company structure will also strengthen Marvelous as an organization as they move forward with “larger, more ambitious scope of development and budgets,” an expansion of the western arcade business, and the upcoming milestones of both their aforementioned flagship series Story of Seasons and Rune Factory.
