Martha is Dead film adaptation announced

Martha is Dead

Publisher Wired Productions and developer LKA have announced a Martha is Dead film adaptation, via a new collab with Swedish film company Studios Extraordinaires.

Studios Extraordinaires is a newly formed studio from last year, helmed by Swedish screenwriter and producer André Hedetoft, who has worked on projects such as Double Trouble and Origin.

The new collaboration is the latest in their announcements for video game adaptations, which also includes the more recently released Fort Solis.

“Every element of Martha Is Dead was created with extraordinary precision and care. The narrative’s complexity was meticulously planned, visualized, and even shaped with a cinematic quality in mind,” said Luca Dalcò, writer and designer of Martha Is Dead. “Bringing this to life as a film is a dream come true.”

The developers of the game will be working closely with Studio Extraordinarires to ensure their vision of the game can translate effectively to film. The new movie will likely contain all the content that was censored in the PlayStation release of the game.

Martha is Dead has been available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store). You can check out our review of the here!
