While we’ve known that Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is getting post launch downloadable content, we haven’t known what characters would be coming – until now.

Via this week’s Famitsu magazine, we’ve learned that Persona 4 Golden’s Marie would be joining the battle in the upcoming sequel. The “Hollow Forest Tsundere Poet” will use her Kaguya persona in battle.

Marie will also be able to use the full contents of her iconic bag, as well as her aforementioned Persona, and she is described to fight with a mix of ranged attacks and misdirection attacks.

Some new details were revealed for the game in general, like how a new lobby system is being implemented into the game’s online mode. You can now chat and discuss things before entering a heated online battle. You can even move your own avatar around and visit the school in Persona 4, or Junes!

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime this fall in North America. As we previously confirmed, the game will be region free in the Americas.
