March Update for Titanfall 2 Adds Updated Colony Map, New Weapon, More

Respawn Entertainment has detailed the March 2017 update for Titanfall 2.

The new update brings with it a revamped Colony map, balance tweaks, bug fixes, and new online features. There’s also a new pilot execution animation, a new weapon, and more.

Respawn also detailed their coming Live Fire update, which is planned for a release sometime this month. The new mode is described as a “fast-paced round-based 6v6 pilot only elimination mode.” Each round will last a minute, and the team owning the flag at the end of each round is the winner.

“Live Fire was inspired by speedball matches in paintball,” Griffin Dean, designer behind the new mode explained. “We wanted to capture the spirit of these lightning-fast competitive matches and give it a Titanfall twist. Live Fire, like speedball, is fundamentally about forward momentum. You have to advance against the enemy, attack aggressively without hesitation, and make split second decisions that can make or break your team’s victory.”

Respawn also promised two maps for Live Fire: Stacks and Meadow, as well as Columns, the latter of which is a map from the game’s Coliseum mode. It’s worth mentioning all of this content is free to download.
