Publisher Manga Gamer has announced at Anime Boston that it has licensed and will be localizing two VNs for the West, 07th Expansion’s Higurashi When They Cry Hou and Circletempo’s Myth. You can watch the opening cinematics for both VNs below.
Higurashi When They Cry Hou is a little thank you from the developers to the fans, which will give players the option of using old or new art, and English or Japanese text. Manga Gamer will release the visual novel via Steam, in fourteen individual chapters, which include:
- Four Question Arcs
- Four Answer Arcs (Higurashi Kai)
- The three Higurashi Rei arcs
- Hinamizawa Teiryuujyo
- Higurashi Outbreak
- The Kamikanshi Chapter
“Onikakushi”, the first chapter, will be available for PC on May 15 for USD$5.99.
Myth is a partially-voiced eroge inspired by Norse mythology, in which players follow a protagonist who lives in the “world of light”, which has no shadows. The protagonist encounters a girl with a shadow, and begins to explore a dark, other realm with her.
This visual novel will be available via Steam in both adult and all-ages versions.
