The Japanese Film Classification and Rating Organization (Eiga Rinri Kikō, often abbreviated to Eirin) has changed the rating of the upcoming film Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul.
Comic Natalie (via Crunchyroll) reports that while the film was initially PG12 (a parent or guardian required for those under 12), the official website announced on December 25th that the film’s age rating would be increased to R15+ (strictly for those 15 years or older).
From December 28th to January 31st, those who bought a ticket can request a refund, should they be too young to now see the film.
Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul premiers January 17th in Japan.
