A new feature film Macross Delta Zettai Live will premiere on October 8th.
The series is a direct continuation of 2016’s Macross Delta (stylized as Macross Δ) and is also the latest story chronologically in the Macross franchise.
The Macross franchise began in 1982 with its first anime series Super Dimension Fortress Macross. This series was eventually repurposed and redubbed to create the 1985 American series Robotech.
The series follows the future of Earth after a city-sized alien spaceship collides with the planet. After rebuilding and relaunching it, humanity becomes a spacefaring species.

Macross Delta takes place eight years after the events of Macross Frontier. The series follows the events Brísingr Globular Cluster that’s being ravaged by a strange illness that causes those afflicted to turn violent.
