TMS Entertainment has announced a commemorative anime special for Lupin the Third is coming in time for the series’ 50th anniversary.

The new anime special will be in celebration of the original manga’s 50th anniversary, which the original author Monkey Punch (original name Kazuhiko Katō) is overseeing as the general director. The production company, TMS Entertainment, handled the anime series prior to this special.

Titled simply “Is Lupin Still Burning,” the name was selected from the first episode of the TV anime that aired back in 1971. A fourth season for the series’ anime aired back in 2015, and ran until March of last year.

Further details weren’t confirmed, however we’ll keep you guys posted.
