Indie developers M-Vizlab, a three-man Korean team, have put their visual novel on Kickstarter. The crowdfunding is for a remake of Lucy: The Eternity She Wished For, a game they released in 2010.

Players play as a nameless protagonist who discovers an android, Lucy, that’s not like the other android girls. The synopsis on Lucy‘s kickstarter reads:

In the near future, androids have become […] the norm. Emotionless husks of metal have become a part of human society, much to the dismay of the boy. The robot he found at the dumpsite, though, this one was different. It laughed, it cried, it smiled, it has dreams, just like a human …

The developers claim that Lucy was highly praised for its story in Korea.

You can watch a video for the game above, and see screenshots below.

This new version of the VN will contain a bonus scenario with Lucy, and a new character scenario. In order to be able to bring it to iOS mobile devices in English, the developers are asking for $6,000, of which $5,260 is already raised. It needs $10,000 to be translated into Japanese. For a PC version of the game, the kickstarter is asking for $12,000, or the game needs to be greenlit on Steam.

If you’d like to know more and/or support the developers, you can find Lucy: The Eternity She Wished For on Kickstarter and Greenlight.

Thanks to Nin for the heads up.
