Square Enix recently held a long live stream featuring a long look at the upcoming Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness.
The stream included a lengthy discussion about the game, as well as a nice extended look at how exploration and battles look, and it’s great to see the new 7-man party battles in action.
Take a look below.
There was some other information mentioned during the stream that has some interesting take-aways, too:
- There will be some form of fast-travel in the later part of the game.
- You’ll no longer have to wait to return to base for item crafting.
- The first print run of the game will have three Valkyrie Profile BGM tracks for players to enjoy –
- And the Limited Edition comes with a code to get some BGMs from previous Star Ocean titles.
- The Limited Edition will also come with concept art from Star Ocean 1 and 2.
Also of note were some changes made between what was shown at Tokyo Game Show and now. There has been an option added to let you change the camera sensitivity, a new manual mode for target changing was added, a number of cooldowns (including item cooldowns) have been reduced, and adjustments have been made to the camera for use in narrow passageways and dungeons.
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will be released in Japan on February 25th, 2016 for PS3 and PS4, and will be making its way west sometime later in 2016.
