The Rings of Power

Amazon has confirmed new actors for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and its forthcoming second season.

The second season confirmed (via Variety) Ciarán Hinds, Rory Kinnear and Tanya Moodie. The former is an Irish actor while the latter two are both British and all three will fill new, reoccurring roles in the upcoming season.

The massive show’s second season is currently in production within the United Kingdom, and details on what roles all three aforementioned actors fill remain unclear. The first season, to compare, had 23 regulars appearing throughout its eight episodes.

The second season is being led by executive producers and showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, both of whom ran its first season. A premiere is reportedly expected sometime in 2024.
