Stylish mystery adventure game Lost & Found announced

Lost & Found

Indie developer ShaggyBearGames has announced Lost & Found, a new adventure-mystery game that blends 2D, 3D, pixel art, and more.

Lost & Found is in development for Windows PC (via Steam), though a release date wasn’t announced.

Here’s a rundown on the game, plus its reveal trailer:

Lost & Found is an adventure-mystery game where you return townsfolk’s lost belongings & uncover personal stories behind each item. It features a hybrid animation style that blends 2D, 3D, pixel art, & more. Gather clues, investigate locals, & ensure every lost belonging ends up in the right hands.

Return to a small rural town you once called home

It’s 2007. You play as Rico, a laid-off artist struggling to find new opportunities in the city, forcing him to return to the small rural town he once called home: Luisiana. But the hometown he remembers isn’t the same anymore. Friends have moved abroad, businesses are shutting down, and the hangout spots he used to love have been ran-down. With nowhere else to go, he takes the only job available: working at the town’s Lost and Found office that is falling apart.

Every item you return matters

Instead of townsfolk coming to pick up their lost belongings, Rico is tasked with bringing each item back to its rightful owner. At first, the job seems simple. Find the owner, return the item, and move on to the next one.

However, in Luisiana, not everyone tells the truth. Some people may try to claim items that are not theirs, so it is up to you to gather clues, listen carefully, and decide who is lying. Every item holds a piece of someone’s life, and returning it to the wrong person will have consequences that affect the game’s story.
