We’ve learned the Loop Hero developer told players to pirate the game, due to the ongoing sanctions and restrictions put on Russia.
Since early March 2022, the platforms which offered the RPG Loop Hero, (Nintendo Switch and Steam), have halted all sales in the nation of Russia in response the invasion of Ukraine.
As a result, developer Four Quarters received many enquires by individuals in Russia on how to acquire the game. In a new post made on social media site vk.com (essentially Russian Facebook), the Loop Hero developer told players to pirate the game.
“In connection with recent events, we are often asked how to buy Loop Hero on switch or in steam, so we decided to answer the whole post at once,” Four Quarters said in a new post. “If so far the method works with Steam through qiwi and replenishment of the tenge wallet, then with eShop there are no options at all. It is not known when all this will end, therefore, in such difficult times, we can only help everyone to raise the pirate flag (together with vpn) and share the most popular distribution on the rutracker. Download to health, have a nice game about”
The following day after the original post, Four Quarters addressed their audience again on vk.com acknowledging a large response and expressing their gratitude for positive messages received. In addition to this, the developers provided an update on the current status of Loop Hero and posted a .gif file of a new enemy.

Loop Hero is currently available on Windows PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch to all consumers outside the nation of Russia.
