PAC-LAND was re-released

Hamster Corporation announced long-lost sidescroller PAC-LAND was re-released for both Switch and PlayStation 4 this week.

While PAC-LAND was re-released this week, the classic PAC-MAN side-scroller is now available for Switch (via the eShop) and PlayStation 4 (via the PlayStation Store), for $7.99. The previous release in their Arcade Archives re-releases was Wonder Momo – read more about that here in our previous report.

Here’s a rundown on the game:

PAC-LAND was re-released!

“PAC-LAND” is a side-scrolling action game released by NAMCO (Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.) in 1984.

The title follows PAC-MAN on a quest to bring lost fairies home to Fairyland.
What strange events will PAC-MAN encounter as he leaves town, then passes through the mountains and forests? PAC-MAN’s charming adventures begin here!

The “Arcade Archives” series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces.
Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time.
Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores.
Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.
