Long Live the Queen is a game by Hanako Games, a developer that focuses on female lead games. The game has a very pink and frilly exterior, complete with moe character designs, but those are all put in place to throw you off.

Underneath the game’s adorable exterior is a dark, perilous struggle for power, as you are the daughter (and princess) of the Queen, who has just died. Following the Queen’s death there is a power struggle, leading you to fight for your life as one of the few legitimate heirs to the throne.

Your job as princess and future monarch is to protect your interests, your national borders, and your own life. Deadly plots, foreign invasions, and hired assassins are always out to get you.

One of the coolest (and most twisted) things about the game is the fact that you can “collect all the ways to die,” meaning every time you die, you get your untimely demise showcased via a cute coin. Hopefully you can live long enough to reach your coronation as Queen.
