Publisher Falcom and developer UserJoy Japan has announced The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War, a new smartphone RPG.
The new mobile RPG is actually based on the upcoming TV anime of the same name, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War, and is launching sometime in 2023. The TV anime, focused on the events from the Trails of Cold Steel sub-series, is set to premiere in January 2023.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War is a smartphone RPG game based on the TV anime The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War, which will be broadcast from January 2023.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is a hit story RPG game software produced by Nihon Falcom, with four titles released between 2013 and 2018. Based on its epic worldview, the early part of the story unfolds from the autonomous province of Northumbria, located in the northwestern part of the Zemuria continent, and players can enjoy the story of the “Battle of Northumbria” that occurred in “Trails of Cold Steel II” and “Trails of Cold Steel III” in this title.
