Vlambeer posted an update to the blog for Nuclear Throne, their upcoming top-down shooter that features a whole bunch of wicked mutants with different abilities. The update revealed some pretty awesome news – Nuclear Throne now supports co-op multiplayer for two players, although the co-op play is only for local play, and not online.
They did confirm, however, that more improvements would be coming to both single player and multiplayer modes in the coming weeks:
“This last week, the entire team worked super-hard and long nights to make co-op a reality and in the next weeks we’ll be focusing on improving both single- and multiplayer support.”
alongside co-op play, you’ll also see the usual tweaks and changes made to squash bugs, game crashes, and other performance issues that might have been experienced, as the game is in Early Access.
