Netflix has shared a new trailer for the second season of the Netflix-backed live action adaptation for Midnight Diner/Shinya Shokudou.
Featured above, the new trailer confirms an October 31st launch for the live-action adaptation of Yarou Abe’s Shinya Shokudou manga. The western version of Netflix will premiere the new season on the same date.
The story basically centers around a humble diner called where diners come in at midnight, as it’s only open from midnight to sunrise. Each diner has their own stories, and some even discover things about themselves or their lives through each other.
Diner guests come in from all walks of life, such as a movie director, a pair of mobsters, an estranged mother, an old friend, just to name a few. It’s worth reading and watching. Usually live action adaptations tend to not pan out very well, but this series seems to have struck a chord with a lot of people.
