A new 15 minute gameplay preview for the upcoming title Little Nightmares II premiered at the ongoing Gamescom 2020 virtual event.

Little Nightmares II is the sequel of the 2017 title Little Nightmares. Both games in the series are puzzle-platforming games involving the exploration of the diminutive protagonists in a gruesome and much too big world.

The first 15 minutes of gameplay shows the protagonist of the first game, named Six, meeting the new protagonist Mono. Similar to the first game, Little Nightmares II follows the formula of exploring rooms and trying to navigate over large obstacles while remaining unseen by adults.

This time, the adult the two encounter called The Hunter, lives in a cabin filled with gear, sleeping bags, and a grotesque makeshift family made of leather and stitched body parts. Though the two escape The Hunter in the trailer, he’s likely only the first of many dangerous encounters in Little Nightmares II.

Little Nightmares II is a suspense-adventure game in which you play as Mono, a young boy trapped in a world that has been distorted by the humming transmission of a distant tower.
