DON’T NOD, the developers behind titles such as Life is Strange and Vamypr, announced the raising of funds for a new action RPG set to launch some time after 2025.

Given the time table and money being raised now for the project, the game’s development is certainly in the very early stages.

The company also announced the launch of a capital increase of approximately €40 (42.88 USD) million through the issue of new shares valued at €10 per share and a minimum €35 million commitment from Tencent.

Tencent has been a shareholder in the company for two years, hence the involvement of the Chinese conglomerate in regards to DON’T NOD, who are an independent studio in France.

The upcoming project currently only has a placeholder name referred to as “Project 12“. This is likely a nod to this being one of many games they currently have in their pipeline set to launch in the coming years.

Some examples of their other titles coming out in 2023 are Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and Harmony: The Fall of Reverie.

This announcement of fundraising was met with success in just one day, as DON’T NOD then followed it up by revealing they have raised €46 (49.31USD) million.
