Let It Die Surpasses 2 Million Downloads Worldwide

GungHo Online Entertainment has announced Let It Die has broken two million downloads worldwide.

The free-to-play violent action game first launched in North America and Europe back on December 3rd of last year, followed by a Japanese release on February 2nd of this year.

Earlier last month, the game broke a million downloads in just North America and Europe, meaning it quickly blew past two million downloads in roughly a month since that milestone (the Japanese launch was definitely a factor).

In case you missed it, you can find our review for Let It Die here (we highly recommend it, it was the reviewer’s 2016 GOTY!)

Does anyone find the fact that Let It die, is very much alive and beloved. It’s kind of hilarious, like naming your kid Satan and having him becoming a world renown Super Star that always donate his earnings to the poor.

I never expected this game to do as well as it is. Part of it is probably the Souls community looking for other games similar to it.

Thinking about it, this is a very unfortunate name for a F2P game.

This game was a joy to play, though have to admit I got fed up around the 40-45th floors, when they start throwing damage-sponge mid bosses at you each level (U-10, and then Coen on the floor above).

I think it could really benefit from a physical release, one that doesn’t rely on Death Metals.
Still glad I gave it a spin, but time to jump ship and move onto Nioh.

It’s pretty good but grindy. If you die retreiving your character costs money (or you can try to climb the tower with another character and potentially have that one die as well).
If you die on a raid you lose all your equipment and if you want to buy the same item it has a cooldown.

You can play safe by using revival and guard shrooms and upgrading your gear but that’s very grindy as well. Not to mention the load times since the game connects to the server in each room etc.

I think you should try it and see for yourself.

Btw if you intend on playing it, use death metal coins to expand your storage, it’s not worth it to spend them on revival since early on retreival is cheap and soon you’ll get the life shrooms anyway.

Might be a good game to give it a try on a “one life only” run. If you die, delete the game and walk away completely.

Game didn’t hold my interest very long, not enough carrot to make me want to keep going.

If you move the N between first A and T, it spells Santa.
