Leonard Boyarsky Bids Farewell To Blizzard, Joins Up With Obsidian

According to a post by GameBanshee, who in turn noticed the news from a post on The RPG Codex, it seems that Blizzard’s world designer and the man responsible for the hotly-debated rainbow colored visuals in Diablo 3 is now leaving the developer and joining the team at Obsidian.

Before working with Troika – where he was art director for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines – Boyarsky worked for now-defunct Interplay. While there, he played a pivotal role in the Fallout series by creating the now iconic Vault Boy “traitcards” and helping write the first game’s memorable ending.

Naturally, there’s no word on what he’ll be working on, but one can speculate that he will probably be put to work on creating art for Obsidian’s upcoming CRPG, Tyranny.

What this means for the legendary jewel named after him in Diablo 3 also remains to be seen.
