Developer TT Games have announced a delay for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but provided no new release date at this time.
As previously reported, players take on the entire Star Wars movie franchise from Episode I to IX. Rather than a bundle of past Lego Star Wars games, this is an entirely new game, taking on each movie with a light-hearted farcical tone, and classic Lego gameplay of smashing bricks, and building something new to solve puzzles.
“All of us at TT Games are working hard to make LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga the biggest and best-ever LEGO game – but we’re going to need more time to do it. We won’t be able to make our intended Spring release date, but will provide updated launch timing as soon as possible.”
The reason for this delay could be related to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic (and subsequent lockdown and remote working orders), that have affected many others. At this time of writing, the game’s release date on Steam is listed as 2021.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is coming soon to Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
