Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom removes duplication glitches in latest patch

The latest patch for The Legend of Zelda: tears of the Kingdom has addressed some serious bugs that have halted player progression, but at the same time Nintendo has allegedly managed to squash many of the most popular duplication glitches.

Of course Nintendo doesn’t specifically mention the duplication glitch in the official patch notes, but likely considers their removal an improvement of the gameplay experience.


Ver. 1.1.2 (Released May 25, 2023)

Audio Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the sound would play at an extremely high volume in certain conditions.
Additional Fixes
  • Fixed an issue in the main quest, “Camera Work in the Depths”, where players could not progress beyond a certain point. Downloading the update will allow players to proceed past that point.
  • Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

You can avoid updating your software but turning your Switch to airplane mode or otherwise disconnecting from the internet.
