Atlus has shared a trailer that showcases the Fate System in Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker.

Featured above, the Fate System is described as a way to earn the trust and strengthen the bonds with your companions. As you build upon your relationships, the story will progress, and you’ll also get bonuses like elemental resistances, and more.

When you reach a high enough fate level, you can partake in joint skill cracking (how you unlock new skills for battling) via killing demons together. You’ll also be able to get new demons unlocked, like Jeanne D’Arc.

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker is launching on the Nintendo 3DS on May 5th.
