Riot Games and Netflix have announced the League of Legends ‘Arcane’ animated series is coming to Netflix subscribes sometimes in fall 2021.
Originally announced back in 2019, the League of Legends ‘Arcane’ animated series was set to premiere sometime in 2020 but got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The “animated event series” will focus on the origins behind League of Legends champions Jinx and Vi.
Alongside the new release window is a new teaser trailer:

It’s worth pointing out that Riot Games is producing the new Arcane animated series entirely in-house, while Netflix is handling distribution exclusively on their platform. Also, the “animated event series” note suggests this is a single run of episodes, rather than an ongoing series that Netflix and/or Riot could renew for subsequent seasons.
We’ll keep you guys posted as more details will come in the months leading to the premiere of Arcane.
